The Samsung Galaxy Tab was officially announced today by Samsung at IFA 2010 Berlin. The 7-inch Android clad device looks awesome, the best Android tablet thus far. The tablet features a 7-inch TFT LCD screen with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels. The Android 2.2 Froyo tablet is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 ARM processor(almost identical to the chip inside Apple’s iPad). The tablet will be available in a White color and come in two different built-in storage sizes, 16GB and 32GB–the Galaxy Tab accepts up to 32GB MicroSD cards thanks to it’s SD card slot– storage sizes.
The devices official price is a little fuzzy at the moment so it’s best to just wait for Samsung to detail that in a few day’s–hopefully–. The tablet is set to go to European countries first then come over to the US and North America.
Right now you can check out this video that was recorded of the device in action at IFA 2010. Also make sure to check out the flashy new website dedicated to the device here.
