ASUS B53 Series Business Laptops Gain Three Models In Europe

The most recent news we had on the ASUS B Series business notebooks was when ASUS announced the B Series laptops. Today we have three new models to add to that offering, at least for European customers we do. The ASUS B53F-SO042X, ASUS B53F-SO043X and ASUS B53J-SO042X are the model names for the new additions.

The new models user Intel Calpella processors, the two ASUS B53F notebooks use the Intel Core i3-370M 2.4Ghz processor and the B53J notebook makes use of the Intel Core i5-450M 2.4GHz processor. The notebooks have the same clock speeds but the Core i5-450M is still faster than the Core i3-370M in benchmarks.

In the graphics department the ASUS B53J also wins in performance it gets a dedicated ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 512MB graphics card, while the B53F get the standard Intel GMA HD graphics. The two B53F models also get just 2GB of DDR3 memory to while the B53J gets 4GB of memory.

With all those differences aside these ASUS notebooks have a lot in common exuding prices of course. All of the laptops do share a few good things in common like their Aluminum chassis, spill resistant keyboards, Boston-Power Sonata 8-cell batteries and Windows 7 Home Premium OS. Also all three weight 2.7kg and feature a 15.6-inch (1366 x 768) LED-backlit display, an 8x DVD writer, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a 5-in-1 card reader, an Express Card slot, and a HDMI output.

The ASUS B53F-SO042X will set you back €849, the ASUS B53F-SO043X is €909 and the ASUS B53J-SO042X €1049. To find shops that offer the three new notebooks just google their model numbers.
