Lenovo Announces New 12.5-inch Portable Ideapad U260

Out of nowhere Lenovo has just announced a new 12.5-inch ultra-portable laptop for the IdeaPad series. The Lenovo IdeaPad U260 features a very new design scheme for Lenovo and Lenovo claims the laptop weights just 3.04 lbs. and is 0.71-inches thin.

The IdeaPad U260 will be powered by Intel Core ULV processors, Core i3 and Core i5 dual-cores. The ultra-portable will have a new screen size 12.5″ and the display will have HD resolution (probably 1366 x 768). The notebook will features 4GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive.

Lenovo for now has announced the U260 will include 2x USB ports, VGA, HDMI, D-Sub, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The ultra-portable sadly will come with only a 4-cell battery which according to Lenovo is good for up to 4 hours of operation.

Lenovo has not priced the IdeaPad U260 as of yet and they don’t have a release date either. However, Lenovo has stated they will offer the U260 in Mocha Brown and Clementine Orange case colors.[Via]
