Unreleased Gold ASUS U46 Laptop Get’s Noticed, 10 Hours of Battery Life and More

ASUS U46 gold backA new ASUS U series ultra-portable is in the pipe-line, if you are a fan of slim profiles and performance be excited. The 14-inch ASUS U46 is the model you will soon have to be on the lookout for and the option of a Gold metallic case design will headline the design options that will also included a more subdued matte Black option.

Details right now on final features aren’t available in full but techinstyle.tv has been able to uncover a few features for the ASUS U46. According to their report the laptop as a whole will boost a thinness of 27mm or just over 1-inch and a final weight that is under 2kg or 4.4 pounds.

Also reported is the inclusion of the latest 2nd Gen Intel Sandy Bridge Core i3, i5 and i7 Low Voltage processors, which will need to sip on battery power to reach the 10 hours battery life also reported.

From the images of the ASUS U46 laptop available below it some ports are discernable. The U46 has on its left-hand side a VGA output port, single USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports, single headphone and microphone jacks. On the right-hand side the only attribute visible in the available images is a slide-out optical drive. A webcam integrated onto the top of the display frame is also visible.

As this laptop hasn’t been formally introduced by ASUS pricing isn’t available at this time. The laptop is expected to launch sometime this Summer with Windows 7 in all likelihood.
