Sony Has Unveiled New VAIO C and E Series Laptops, Lots Of Colorful Options

Sony has announced plans to launch new and improved VAIO E and C Series laptop. The new models will add new processor and graphics options as well as slightly altered body designs. Sony plans to make the updated laptops available for purchase later in June right from the companies sonystyle.com online store.

For the new VAIO C Series laptops buyers will have unique color options just as the current models offer, the laptop will be available neon red or thunder blue. Sony will be adding new Intel Core i3 and i5 Sandy Bridge processors for the laptops, which range in size from 14-inches to 15.5-inches.

Other features that will be available include AMD Radeon HD graphics cards with up to 1GB of VRAM (video RAM), a Blu-ray player and, a backlit keyboard, and up to 9 hours of battery life from the standard lithium-ion battery.

Sony plans on offering a more diverse crop of features for the updated E Series laptops. The new models launching later this month will have the option for Intel Sandy Bridge Core i3 and i5 CPUs as well as AMD’s dual-core E-350 APU (Zacate). Like the C Series color options for the 14-inch and 15.5-inch E Series laptops will be unique, color choices will include midnight blue, glacier white, charcoal black and blush pink.

Other features set for the notebooks include Blu-Ray players, online access to PS3 content with Remote Play for PS3, geometric patterns lid with a fingerprint-resistant design, backlit LCD screens and HDMI output.

According to reports the Sony VAIO C Series will start at $750 and the E Series at $550. No doubt that the AMD E-350 option helps the E Series meet such a low starting price. Sony is listing the new C Series laptops on sonystyle.com now but they won’t ship orders until June 27th.
