M.I.C. Aluminum Keyboard Buddy Case for iPad 2The Apple iPad 2 is a very thin tablet, actually it’s one of the thinnest on the market with a thinness of 0.34 inches (8.8 mm). But the iPad 2 like the original iPad lacks a keyboard, so third-party accessory manufacturers like M.I.C. get to create some of their own for iPad owners looking for a physcial keyboard.

M.I.C.’s latest keyboard solution for the iPad 2 comes in the form of a new case. The new case offers up a Bluetooth QWERTY keyboard, a slim discrete and protective design, and USB charging from the case for the iPad 2.

The case looks so good with the iPad 2 looks so good some say that it makes the iPad 2 a look like a Apple Macbook Air laptop. The case doesn’t add too much to the overall depth of the iPad 2 — the case is 0.43 inches (11 mm) deep – and the case is done in Aircraft-grade anodized aluminum too. The keys for the QWERTY keyboard are the most mac-esque though, the chiclet keys offer up a dedicated Command key along with the same black with white letters style that is synonymous with keyboards on Macbook’s.

The case is named Aluminum Keyboard Buddy Case and M.I.C. is selling the case for $50 each from their online store. You can take a close look at the new iPad 2 case in the image galley below:
