Portable 13-inch Laptop With Spill-Proof Keyboard Unveiled By Fujitsu Europe

Fujitsu’s European division has introduced a brand new 13.3-inch LifeBook laptop that they feel is just right for back-to-school shoppers in Europe looking for an affordable laptop. The new Fujitsu LifeBook SH531 starts under €500 and boasts the latest generation Intel Sandy Bridge Pentium and Core i processors among other things.
According to TCMagazine the new SH531 offers users a lot in a small 1.9kg. package. The laptop has a 13.3-inch 1366-by-768 LED backlit anti-glare display, a spill-resistant keyboard, up to 6.5 hours of battery life, and a classic black design that resembles many of the other Fujitsu LifeBook laptops currently available.
Internally you do get a bit of control over what your Fujitsu LifeBook SH531 will be equipped with.
In processors there are three options available the 2 GHz Intel Pentium B940, the 2.1 GHz Intel Core i3-2310M, or the 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5-2410M each a dual-core chip.
The pre-installed DDR3 1333MHz RAM cam be either 2 or 4 GB’s, but this laptop can have up to 8GB of DDR3-1333 installed in the laptops two DIMM slots. The built-in storage can be either 320 or 500 GB’s in HDD format.
There is the option for a DVD SuperMulti drive or a Blu-ray player with DVD SuperMulti. As for the operating system the SH531 can come pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Basic, Home Premium, or Professional in 64-bit versions only.
Now on the more standard side of things this portable Fujitsu laptop boasts the following:
- Intel HD Graphics 3000 integrated GPU
- Gigabit Ethernet. 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1
- 4-in-1 card reader (SD/MS/MSPro/MMC), an ExpressCard (34mm) slot, 2x USB 2.0 and 1x USB 2.0/eSATA ports, Kensington lock
- Two built-in speakers, D-Sub/VGA and HDMI outputs
