Apple is said to be working to update the processor options for their high-end 15-inch and 17-inch Macbook Pro laptop computers. The new processors options will include three new quad-core Intel Core i7 Sandy Bridge mobile processors that Intel just launched a week ago. The new chips will replace the 2.0GHz, 2.2GHz, and 2.3HGz quad-core Intel Core i7 processors that the 15-inch and 17-inch Macbook Pro’s currently have available to them. Here are the new Intel Core i7 chips that Apple is reportedly adding soon:

However I really don’t think Apple will do a refresh this quickly, the current Macbook Pro’s were introduced only five months ago. Apple Insider reports that the info about this processor refresh comes from a trusted source for insight on Apple’s future products. We’ll have to play this one by ear and wait for Apple to start shipping these new faster 15-inch and 17-inch Macbook Pro laptops.

As for the 13-inch Macbook Pro, the entry-level full-sized Mac laptop, Apple could add the following new dual-core processors to replace the 2.3GHz and 2.7GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 and i7 processing chips:
