Netbooks with new AMD Fusion APUs appear online, offerings from Acer and Asus spotted

Back in April we recieved the first details about the 1.00GHz AMD Dual-Core C-60 APU. Now it’s been five months since intial details leaked and netbooks are finally starting to crop-up for sale with the latest dual-core APU from AMD. The new C-60 is a special chip because it’s the most powerful AMD C-Series Ontario APU or accelerated processing Unit.
As we’ve already learned through leaked info in April the new AMD C-60 features Turbo Core up to 1.33GHz (from 1.00GHz) for the dual-core CPU and it features a new AMD Radeon HD GPU (the 6290) that has Turbo Core up to 400MHz (from 276MHz). However with the performance gains the C-60 is rated at 9W TDP like all the other C-Series APUs (single-core C-30 and dual-core C-50) which don’t have Turbo Core for the CPU or GPU.
The netbooks that have been found to feature the new AMD C-60 APU aren’t available in the US, and don’t have any release plans for North America at this time either. THe netbooks are from Asus and Acer and according to first-hand reports from nDevil and NotebookItalia the netbooks are for-sure available for purchase in Europe.

For team Asus the Asus Eee PC 1015BX has been spotted with the new AMD C-60 in Europe. The 1015BX is your typical 10.1-inch 1024-by-600 (WSVGA) netbook and it’s being sold now on Amazon Germany for 206 Euros (converts to about $277USD), the model that’s shipping is the White color model the Black 1015BX will start shipping on September 30th on Amazon Germany and it’s 209 Euros.
As for Acer their AMD C-60 based netbooks are the Acer Aspire One 522 and Acer Aspire One 722. The 522 is a 10.1-inch WSVGA netbook and the 722 has an 11.6-inch display with a 1280-by-800 resolution. These two netbooks are selling now in Europe only for 250 Euros (522) and 400 Euros (722), but neither model is available online for purchase as far as I can see.
