Where to buy the Asus UX21 and UX31 Zenbook laptops online

The other day Asus announced the their new ultra-thin and ultra-portable Zenbook laptop computers –Ultrabooks using Intel’s dictionary. If you can remember the Asus Zenbook family of notebooks includes two major display size options, 11.6-inches with the Asus UX21 and 13.3-inches with the Asus UX31.
Now when we gave you the run-down on the new Zenbooks yesterday we listed five configurations that would be launched, but today the day after that posting there are only two variations available already for immediate order online. You can buy the 11.6″ ASUS UX21E-DH71 and the 13.3″ ASUS UX31E-DH52, both models feature price tags above the $1000 threshold and as you’ll see below the 11.6-inch model features the better hardware and higher price tag.
Like the limitations in the amount of models available there is also limitations in the amount of online retailers that have UX21 and UX31 laptops in-stock. At the moment the more expensive UX21E-DH71 and cheaper UX31E-DH52 are only available in limited quantities through a handful of online retailers, below you will find links to the few reputable online retailers who have models in-stock and ready for shipment.
However before providing you with a list of the available retailers let’s look at the main specficiations for the two Asus Zenbooks/Ultrabooks.

Okay now that that’s out of the way let’s move on to where you can buy these two slim and sleek laptops –binding that you find either model to be specced to your liking; keep in mind there will be three other models (one UX21 and two UX31′s).
- Amazon – Amazon.com is a trusted source for e-shopping and there are a few units available for both the UX21 and UX31 model detailed above. Note that the two models available are sold by J&R Music and Computer World (jr.com) through Amazon.com.
- NewEgg – Newegg.com is a very well established source for PC components and pre-built laptops and desktops. NewEgg currently only has the UX21 model that was detailed above in-stock and they offer that laptop at the same price as Amazon.com and they also provide free shipping.
- ASUS UX21E-DH71 – $1,199.00 FREE 2-Day Shipping
- B&H Photo Video – bhphotovideo.com is another trusted site for purchasing computers online and it’s based out of the U.S of A. Through bhphotovideo.com your only option, like NewEgg, is the UX21 model for the time being.

Right now the online retailers mentioned are the only ones with strong reputations that have any Asus UX laptops in-stock. However this is only something for the time being, in a few weeks, and for sure in the next month more retailers will begin to get units in-stock for the Asus UX21 and UX31 model ranges. Also with time there should be more competitive pricing (read:lower pricing or rebates or even bundle deals) among retailers for the Asus Zenbook line as a whole.

Would you know if Asus UX 21 e DH71 also comes with 256 GB SSD? Or, only the 128 GB SSD? Please advise. Thanks.

No that particular model (Asus UX21E-DH71) only comes with 128GB of SSD storage. The 11.6-inch UX21 doesn’t come with a 256GB SSD option, although the 13.3-inch UX31 offers that capacity in it’s most expensive model the Asus UX31E-DH53.
