Dell reports that the two laptop computers would normally set you back $1,338.98, but for a limited time (Deal expires on 11/01/2011 at 6PM) you can save $638.99 (47% savings) if you buy the two together here on Dell.com.

The Dell Inspiron 14R is equipped with a 14-inch 1366×768 LED display, a 2.10 GHz Intel Core i3-2330M dual-core CPU, 6GB Dual Channel DDR3 memory, a 640GB 5400 RPM SATA Hard Drive, Intel HD Graphics 3000 integrated graphics with up to 1.6GB of video memory, a 8X Tray Load CD/DVD Burner (Dual Layer DVD+/-R Drive), a 1.0 megapixel widescreen HD webcam, 10/100 Ethernet LAN, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit.

For ports and connectors the Inspiron 14R included in this deal ships with 2x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0, 1x USB 2.0/eSATA combo, HDMI 1.4, VGA, audio jacks 1-line out, (1 Mic-in), and a 8-in-1 Media Card Reader.

Now the Dell Insprion Duo is a unique laptop, or should I say netbook. The Inspiron Duo features a special design that allows it to be used as a portable laptop/netbook an as a tablet PC. Dell has equipped their Inspiron Duo with a 10.1-inch 1366 x 768 capacitive touchscreen LCD, a 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 dual-core CPU, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 802.11b/g/n, 2x USB 2.0, NO HDMI or VGA ports, and Windows 7 Home Premium 32-Bit comes pre-installed.

Given it’s features the Inspiron Duo is only good as a secondary machine, like most netbooks with technical specifications similar to those offered by the Duo.
