ASUS teaming up with artist Jay Chou for another limited edition laptop computer

Limited edition style is what Asustek Computer Inc. will be offering soon with their new 14″ ASUS N45J Mystic Edition laptop computer. The new ASUS N45J Mystic Edition laptop is just the latest effort from both Asustek and popular singer and songwriter Jay Chou. Previously the duo of Asustek and Jay Chou have created limited edition laptops like the 14″ ASUS N43SL Jay Chou Special Edition notebook. The new N45J joins the same N Series of ASUS notebooks that the previous N43SL offering occupies along with a host of other machines.
The new N45J Mystic Edition laptop got its styling inspiration from the Exclamation Mark album that Chou recently released with recording label Sony Music Entertainment Taiwan. The back or the lid of the laptop is where you’ll see the styling inspiration from Chou’s album, on the lid there is a ship anchor with Jay Chou’s name and other shapes in a pencil styled sketch. The design that’s on the lid of the laptop is located to one side while on the other side there is Jay Chou’s personal signature.
The overall color of the machine is White and Blue (light) with a little Silver, the keyboard has Blue accents and so does the border which surrounds the display the speaker grill and keyboard keys are Silver. (see the design in the photo below)
The main specifications for the new laptop computer are very good, but the full list of specifications hasn’t been released for the N45J at this time. From what Asustek specifies their new N45J Mystic Edition laptop will feature a 14.0″ screen (1366×768), a fast 2.30 GHz (2.9 GHz Turbo Boost) dual-core Intel Core i5-2410M base CPU with the option for having a faster quad-core Intel Core i7-2670QM CPU, capable NVIDIA GeForce 2GB discrete graphics come standard, an integrated webcam, 2-second resume from sleep is also included and makes me think the N45J might have solid state storage, and finally Asustek is including an external subwoofer with every purchase (probably the same one that ships with the Asus N55SF and N75SF).
Pricing isn’t available to me now but the ASUS N45J Mystic Edition is going to be available in limited quantities for mainland China and Southeast Asia only.
