Asustek Computer Inc. has unveiled a new business laptop computer the company hopes will tickle the fancy of portable business people around the world. Their new business is described as being durable, portable, powerful, secure as well as stylish. The 12.5″ Asus B23E joins the very select few of laptops for business that Asustek currently offers under their ASUSPRO B Series.
The new Asus B23E has been constructed mainly from magnesium-aluminum alloy which Asustek claims to be one ingredient for their notebooks durability. Asustek claims their new B23E features a spill-proof keyboard and the laptop has a dedicated drainage system built-in. Also the B23E is put through stringent hinge tests that exceeds the norm for the laptop industry, and the B23E is also put through panel pressure testing for the 12.5″ LED backlit display.
Concerned about protecting the B23E’s hard drive from abuse? Hard drive protection for the new B23E includes anti-shock protection for the drive, metal bracketing that holds the drive in place, and motion sensors are also included and those are used to sense and brace the drive for impact automatically before the laptop hits the ground.

The Asus B23E has a Kensington Lock, BIOS Booting User Password Protection, HDD User Password Protection and Security, Fingerprint protection, Computrace LoJack anti-theft, Intel Anti-theft protection with remote locking for the laptop, and a TPM (Trusted Platform Module) is going to be optional for customers.

According to Asustek the new Asus B23E is features a total weight with battery of just 1.55 kg, and the laptop measures only 2.8 cm thick at it’s thinnest point. However with a display that is sized at 12.5-inches you should have expected numbers that low for this laptop.

Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processing chips, up to a 750GB 7200RPM hard drive, DDR3 1333 MHz RAM (up to 8GB possible expansion) and Intel’s HD Graphics 3000 integrated GPU.
